This new group offers birthmothers a safe and understanding community of support. Together we will walk through your adoption journeys from decision making, through adoptive placement, and then throughout your child's life. No matter the circumstances that led you to adoption, this group celebrates you as the birthmother of someone very special. It doesn't matter when your child's adoption took place, whether it is open or closed, or what agency was involved, you are welcome here.
We meet at Greater Hopes Family Services at 1345 Monroe Ave. NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49505 in the second floor conference room. The administrators/facilitators are Sue Nitz-Hinojosa birthmother of 17 years, and a therapist who is also a therapist.
In addition to face-to-face monthly community meetings the first Tuesday of each month (starts May 3, 2011!) we have a fun,
private and supportive Facebook group as well.
