I feel that I am caring, open minded, patient, dependable, friendly, respectful, trusting, sensitive, genuine, humorous, nurturing, and a very hard worker. I tend to want to please others. I am not married. If Mr. Right were to come along, I would be happy about that, but I am very content being a single Mom.
My daughter, family and my Christian walk are the most important things in my life. I try to live my life in God's will and follow His plan for me. I have attended a Free Methodist church my whole life and I am an active member. I live my life by the morals and values that I was taught as a child and they are based on Biblical principles. I plan to raise my child/children in this same way and love them and support them in whatever path they choose. In my family, people are considered most important, not worldly things. Helping and respecting others is very important to me. I try to treat others with the love and respect that I would like to receive from them. Worldly possessions can be replaced, but people and relationships cannot so these are the things that I place the most value on in my life.
I live in a 4 bedroom 4 bath home that I designed and had built in 1998. It is a rural area and my closest neighbor is about 1/3 of a mile away. My Grandpa was a dairy farmer and the land he owned was divided among my mom and her siblings. I am surrounded by relatives. We are a very close family and we do a lot together. My parents live two houses down from me and we have a trail through the field between our houses. We walk to their house frequently and visit their pool and animals. Ours is a close knit community and I really enjoy it. I am 10 minutes from the nearest town. Growing up in the country and being so near my relatives was awesome and I am excited for my daughter to experience it as I did. I plan to live here for the rest of my life unless God has something else in mind for me.
I would just like the birthparents to know that I have the utmost respect for the decision that they are making. It takes a lot of courage and love to allow someone else to raise your child even when you think that it's the best choice. Adoption is the biggest and most important thing I have ever done in my life as well. I feel that raising a child is the most awesome and life changingg responsibility anyone can take on. I am ready to take on this responsibility again and give another child the best life I possibly can.
Already having adopted one baby, I can tell you that I love being a Mom more than anything and I really look forward to sharing my love and life with another child. My number one concern is for the welfare of the child. As long as the openness of the adoption wouldn't interfere with the child's adjustment, I think it's great. I can only imagine how difficult the adoption process is for birthparents and it seems that open adoption would give them a lot more peace of mind because they would be able to see for themselves that their child is being loved and cared for.
Overall I think that open adoption can be very beneficial for the child, the birthparents and the adoptive parents. I hope that we can work together to give your child the best life possible.

I enjoy a variety of things. What's most relaxing to me is just spending time with my daughter and family at home. My daughter and I spend a great deal of time with my family. I love to be outdoors in the summer. I enjoy fishing, camping, walking, gardening, swimming, going to antique and flea markets, riding four wheelers, and getting together with family and friends. In the winter I enjoy snowmobiling, skiing and sledding. We have family get togethers and parties all throughtout the year. I really look foward to those. My indoor hobbies include scrapbooking, decorating, and refinishing old furniture.
Animals have always been a big passion of mine; I actually considered being a veterinarian at one point. I still have the horse that I got when I was 10 years old. She is now 29 years old and lives on my parents hobby farm, but I used to show her in 4H and local horse shows. Growing up on a hobby farm we had everything from pigs to llamas. I showed my horse, steers, rabbits, and dog in 4H. I will always love and respect animals. My daughter has already picked up my passion too! We currently have donkeys, horses and barn cats. I'm sure we will have a puppy when she's older.
I consider myself a fairly adventurous person. I have been sky diving twice and on a hot air balloon ride. I would still love to try parasailing and snorkeling or scuba diving. I am open to trying new things and experiences, and my hobbies and interests seem to be expanding as I get older!
