Orientation Meetings

Before you apply to adopt, you must attend an Orientation Meeting. Discussion topics include types of adoption programs, children served through adoption, the adoption process, current laws, agency policies, fees, and information regarding support services available. Time is provided for questions. There is no charge to attend these meetings.

Please contact cathyr@greaterhopes.org to RSVP for one of our 2017 Orientation meetings!
They frequently (but not always!) occur on the third Thursday of the month, from 4:45-6:15 PM.

Future dates include: September 21, October 19, and November 30.

Support Group Meetings

In 2017 these monthly meetings will generally occur the third Thursday of each month from 6:30-8 PM. They provide an avenue for families working with our children to come together, ask for help and to support each other. We discuss the challenges, questions and successes happening in our families’ lives. Families earn training hours required by law. Agency updates occur at these meetings as well. For the June 22 meeting contact cathyr@greaterhopes.org for details.

In June and July we are planning two fun social events. On June 16 we are having an event for our families, their friends and their families. Come enjoy some delicious food and time around the deck and pool. On July 23 we are having an event for everyone interested in adoption. We will have a grand picnic with wonderful people, great food, a beach, canoes and paddle boards, games and much laughter. Please email either lindsayh@greaterhopes.org or cathyr@greaterhopes.org for more information!
