“If you, or anyone you care about, is thinking of placing a young child or an infant for adoption, please read this.

Adoption planning has changed a lot in recent years. Birthparents can now choose an agency or attorney to help them navigate the adoption system. They can also choose the family who adopts their child and possibly create a lifelong relationship with their child and his or her adoptive family (like extended family or in-laws.)  An adopted child does not need to lose his or her birthfamily because he or she gets adopted.

Greater Hopes Family Services is a local licensed child placing agency that specializes in creating adoption plans that serve children without alienating their original birthfamily. 

Please call us if you or anyone you know is making an adoption plan. We want you to know and understand your rights so you can make an informed and wise adoption plan.

Also, we want to help you explore whether adoption is the right answer to the concerns you have about your situation. We can help you identify resources that might help you be able to parent your child. Regardless of your decision, we want to help you through whatever hard times you are experiencing.

Events:

Adoptive Participant Support Group Meetings will be held from 6:30-8 PM the second Wednesday of each even numbered month as noted below: February 10 April 14 June 9 August 11 October 13 December 8 At these meetings prospective adoptive parents, current adoptive parents, birthparents, other birthfamily members, adoptive siblings, adoptees, and your friends will meet for support and activities that will enhance the adoption experience. Everyone with an interest in adoption is welcome! Greater Hopes Family Services Information Meetings will be held from 6:30-8 PM the second Wednesday of each odd numbered month as noted below: January 13 March 10 May 12 July 14 September 8 November 10 Everyone is welcome! This meeting will inform existing resource families about the State of the Agency, as well as current program developments and needs.
For those considering working with Greater Hopes you will receive all information needed to fulfill the requirement attend an Orientation Meeting prior to joining a team at Greater Hopes Family Services.
