Mission Statement
ADOPTION PROGRAM STATEMENT-Part 1

Adoptaid's mission is to provide excellent families to adoptable children.

Important Philosophies

We believe that an adopted individual has the need and the right to be
aware of, and connected to, his or her personal heritage as well as being
connected to the adoptive family who has accepted the rights and
responsibilities of parenthood.

Our staff follows principles taught by Jesus Christ (basically, love one
another). If you desire, a member of our Prayer Team will pray with you
and support you spiritually through this complicated time. Please trust
we will respect your boundaries and beliefs.

Statement of Purpose

Adoptaid of Greater Hopes, Inc. is a non-profit, 501(c)(3), child-placing
agency. We facilitate adoptions for children in need of permanent
families. This includes but is not limited to evaluating families,
educating families, providing legal filing services (only in certain
domestic cases), supervising placements, maintaining support groups and
offering support services. Clients served include any member of an
adoption triad and their families. Counseling and consultation services
are encouraged and provided for each member of the triad.

It is our mission to maximize a child's potential in life by offering them
a suitable and permanent home where they will be given every opportunity
to grow and develop in the happiest and healthiest manner possible given
each child's individual history and situation. Adults respect a child’s
life when they allow him to remain connected to what belongs to him.

Charged to provide respectful and loving parents, we assist qualified
adults in their desire to adopt a child.

Services Provided

Eligible adoptive applicants, birthparents, and adoptees
may receive the following direct or indirect services: orientation to
adoption, training and education about adoption and parenting topics, a
Pre-Placement Consultation and Pre-Placement Assessment (AKA: Home study) for either
domestic or inter-country adoption, counseling and mediation sessions,
support groups, domestic legal relinquishment services and/or adoption
filing services, post placement supervision, interstate services,
intermediary/search services, and referrals to other social service agents
as needed.
